Sharon first started teaching the learner classes at Long Eaton Silver Prize Band when she was 14! She was soon asked to take on private pupils, who she has taught ever since. Sharon has taught most brass instruments from soprano cornet to Eb Bass, although the majority of her pupils play the cornet, trumpet or tenor horn (her specialist instruments).
Sharon also teaches musical theory and teaches pupils of all ages: her youngest ever pupil was three, and her eldest, 75.
In addition to private pupils, Sharon has also taught local community music groups (including the Long Eaton Silver Prize Training Band).
Sharon has an enhanced CRB.
